WHY DIASTOLE?

2018 ANNUAL REPORT

DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE

This is a great place to add a tagline.

Tell customers more about you. Add a few words and a stunning pic to grab their attention and get them to click.

This space is ideal for writing a detailed description of your business and the types of services that you provide. Talk about your team and your areas of expertise.

HEARTS AT REST

FINDING HOME

FOR 26 SEASONS newEar Contemporary Chamber Ensemble has performed in local churches, university recital halls, art galleries, and even the Kansas City Zoo, but they've never had a place to call home. Home is being able to rehearse in the same space you perform. It's knowing exactly how your sound will travel off the ceilings and into your audience's ears. It's the comfort of familiarity in a profession that rarely allows the luxury of routine. In 2019, newEar has come home to Diastole.

Focusing exclusively on works by living composers, newEar has brought an eclectic and cutting-edge array of performances to the Kansas City area for nearly three decades. Appropriately, this season's music is based around the theme of Location/Dislocation. There will be two opportunities to see each of newEar's four different programs—Saturday night at 8pm, and Sunday afternoon at 3pm. We hope to see members of the extended Diastole family at these concerts and know we can count on all of you to make our resident ensemble feel welcome!
